On View

Joyce Billet is a French-American visual artist whose work explores the intersection of nature and technology through painting, sculpture, and large-scale public installation. Originally from Paris and now based in Miami, Billet moved from New York City in 2020 and has since established a dynamic studio practice rooted in material experimentation and digital process. Her primary medium, plywood, becomes a site of transformation—etched, cut, and layered to blur the lines between technology and organic form.

In 2024, Billet launched Joyce Billet Studio and Project Space, an independently operated, multi-use site located between the Miami Design District and Little River. The space serves as both her working studio and a platform for public engagement, reflecting her commitment to open dialogue and community-oriented programming.

The studio includes an active fabrication area where visitors can experience Billet’s process firsthand, from early concepts to finished works. Adjacent to the production space is the Project Room, a flexible venue for rotating exhibitions, artist workshops, and special events. Together, these spaces invite the public into the creative process and create space for exchange between artists, collectors, and the broader Miami arts community.

Billet’s work has been featured in the Miami Design District during her 2024 solo exhibition Into the Woods, as well as at the Untitled Art fair in 2021 and 2022 through a Special Project supported by Villa Albertine. She was recently awarded an Art in Public Places commission from the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, and continues to expand the role of her studio as both a site of production and a hub for collaboration.
