Celebrate Oolite Arts’ 40th with Cuba Queer
This special edition, curated by Hansel Porras Garcia, Oolite Arts’ 2021 Cinematic Resident and current Cinematic Arts Director, is titled “Cuba Queer”. The program features a powerful selection of contemporary Cuban short films created by Cuban filmmakers, all shot in Cuba. These works offer an intimate and nuanced look at the LGBTQ+ experience within a nation that has been under dictatorship since 1959.
Featuring short films by Cuban filmmakers, the program explores LGBTQ+ stories in Cuba through bold, personal, and cinematic perspectives.
